On September 13, 2026, Best Friend Forever announced that Abinash Bikram Shah’s 'Elephants in the Fog' has finalized distribution deals across ten international territories. This critically praised film, which previously earned the Cannes Un Certain Regard Jury Prize, is also Nepal's official submission for the international feature category at the Academy Awards. The announcement coincides with the film’s screening at the esteemed Toronto Film Festival.
Key distribution agreements include MetFilm Distribution for the U.K., Filmin in Spain, Vedette in Benelux, and Trigon in Switzerland. Additionally, Lev Cinema will handle distribution in Israel, Jayantii in Australia, EFAR Films in India, PT Falcon in Indonesia, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines. An inflight entertainment deal with Silk Route further expands the film's reach.
