The Los Angeles Clippers have announced their four-game exhibition schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season, highlighted by an initial contest against a Chinese professional team. The team’s preliminary matches are set to begin on October 9 with a significant international game against the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association, taking place at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California. This game marks their return to the court following their elimination in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs by the Denver Nuggets.

Following their international debut, the Clippers will continue their preseason at their new home, the Intuit Dome, on October 12, where they will host a rematch against the Denver Nuggets, a team that ended their previous season. The exhibition schedule then moves on the road with a game against the Sacramento Kings on October 15, and concludes on October 17 with a match against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. This marks the franchise’s second preseason in the newly constructed Intuit Dome, a period of adjustment after roster changes in the previous year, including the departure of key players and the acquisition of seasoned talents such as Bradley Beal, Brook Lopez, and Chris Paul, aimed at bolstering the team’s lineup. Despite facing numerous injuries, including Kawhi Leonard's absence, the team managed to secure its third consecutive playoff appearance in the 2024-25 season, largely due to James Harden's leadership.

This upcoming preseason is more than just a series of warm-up games; it represents a new chapter for the Clippers, emphasizing strategic growth and adaptation. By embracing international competition and integrating new veteran talent, the team is proactively building a more resilient and versatile squad. This forward-looking approach not only prepares them for the rigors of the NBA season but also reinforces the idea that challenges, like injuries or playoff eliminations, can be catalysts for positive change and renewed determination. The Clippers' commitment to evolving their roster and expanding their global presence reflects a proactive and optimistic vision for future success, embodying the spirit of continuous improvement and perseverance.
