The Denver Nuggets have officially secured a deal with center Moses Brown, a move confirmed by sources close to the team. This acquisition is poised to bolster the team's roster as they navigate a period of significant change.

Brown, at 24 years old, concluded his previous season with the Dallas Mavericks, where he posted solid numbers of 11.8 points and 7.8 rebounds over four games. His performance in the G League with the Westchester Knicks was particularly impressive, showcasing his dominance with averages of 17.9 points, 15.7 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per contest. Since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2019, the 7-foot-2 big man has gained experience across nine NBA franchises, including stints with Oklahoma City, Cleveland, Portland, and the Clippers, alongside multiple appearances in the G League. A career highlight includes setting a G League playoff record with 26 rebounds for Westchester against the Maine Celtics in April 2025. Throughout his 163 NBA games, Brown has maintained career averages of 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in approximately 12 minutes per game, with his most productive season occurring in 2020–21 with the Thunder, where he averaged 8.6 points and 8.9 boards in 43 appearances. His imposing 7-foot-2 stature and 7-foot-4 wingspan make him an effective rebounder and interior scorer, as evidenced by his 72.4 percent field goal shooting with Dallas last season.

This signing comes as the Nuggets undergo a transitional phase, led by new head coach David Adelman, who took over from Michael Malone in April. Leadership in basketball operations has also seen a reshuffle, with Ben Tenzer and Jon Wallace assuming key roles. Given the Nuggets' absence of picks in the 2025 NBA Draft, strategic free agency signings and depth additions are crucial for re-shaping the team. Brown's arrival provides essential size and versatility, offering an important option for rebounding and rim protection off the bench, complementing key players like Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valanciūnas and providing support alongside Zeke Nnaji.

The integration of Moses Brown into the Denver Nuggets' lineup signifies a forward-looking strategy focused on enhancing team depth and adaptability. This move reflects the organization's commitment to building a resilient and competitive squad capable of overcoming new challenges and striving for excellence in the upcoming season.
