Reality television personality Dani Dyer, wife of West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, has confirmed she will not be incorporating the notoriously explicit fan chant about her relationship with the footballer into her routines on the popular dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing. The chant, sung to the tune of Gala's 1996 hit "Freed From Desire," contains a risqué lyric that Dani acknowledges would be unsuitable for television. Her young son, Santiago, has already offered a family-friendly adaptation, changing the controversial line to "kissing Dani Dyer."

The chant, which proclaims "Bowen's on fire, and he's s******* Dani Dyer," has become a regular fixture at West Ham matches. Despite its suggestive nature, Dani's father, actor Danny Dyer, a devoted West Ham supporter, views it as a tribute to his daughter's relationship. He publicly defended the chant, interpreting it as a compliment, suggesting it implies that things couldn't be better for his son-in-law. Danny Dyer was even seen joining in the chant at a West Ham FA Cup game with his grandson, Santiago, in his arms, though he adapted the lyrics for their wedding celebration to reflect their marital status.

During a recent episode of Strictly Come Dancing, Jarrod Bowen was present in the studio audience with his mother Natalie and sister Ella, supporting Dani as she performed a foxtrot to a song from "Beauty And The Beast." Dani's professional dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, echoed her sentiments, agreeing that while they appreciate the sentiment, the explicit nature of the chant prevents its use on the show. This season marks Dani's return to the competition after she was forced to withdraw last year due to an ankle fracture sustained during rehearsals. She remains confident about her recovery, stating her ankle is fine and they are taking necessary precautions, including an ice machine provided by her husband to aid her recovery.

In addition to Dani Dyer's performance, the latest episode of Strictly featured other notable acts, including Australian singer Delta Goodrem performing an American smooth, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner's quickstep, and Melanie Walters' waltz. Dani had previously debuted with a samba, earning 22 points, with her father and sister Sunnie in attendance. Her father's animated reactions to the judges' critiques garnered significant attention, highlighting his proud support. Dani, who shares three-year-old twins Summer and Star with Bowen, remains tight-lipped about whether she would prefer to win the coveted glitterball trophy or see her husband lead West Ham back into the Premier League, playfully refusing to answer the hypothetical question.

The ongoing narrative surrounding Dani Dyer's participation in Strictly Come Dancing intertwines her personal life with her professional aspirations, creating a compelling story for fans. The playful debate over the West Ham chant adds a unique flavor to her journey, showcasing the intersection of celebrity, sports, and popular culture. Her resilience in returning to the show after an injury, coupled with the unwavering support of her family, paints a picture of determination and familial bonds, all while navigating the public spotlight.
