Dyson has announced a substantial expansion of its robotic cleaning and air purification product lines, marking a departure from its previous slower pace of innovation in these categories. The company is rolling out three new robotic vacuum cleaners under the new Nurovi series, alongside a completely redesigned range of purifiers that incorporate its innovative HushJet technology, aiming to enhance home cleaning and air quality solutions.
The new Nurovi robot vacuum range features three distinct models, each designed to meet specific cleaning needs. Leading the lineup is the Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, a flagship model boasting advanced AI stain detection, UV light, and green laser technology to identify and eliminate nearly 200 types of household messes. This powerful robot, with 30,000Pa suction, uses 70°C heated water for deep cleaning and includes a self-emptying dock. Following this, the Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry, available now for £749.99, offers a comprehensive vacuum and mop solution with Reuleaux triangle pads that effectively clean edges and corners using 75°C heated water. Both the R3 and R2 models incorporate Dyson’s Twin-capture system, which efficiently separates fine and coarse debris, and an acoustic piezo sensor for real-time adjustments to suction based on dust levels and floor types. For users primarily needing dry cleaning, the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry is a more affordable option at £499.99, providing 21,000Pa suction power without the mopping function, ideal for carpeted environments.
Beyond robotic cleaners, Dyson is also revolutionizing its purification offerings with the introduction of HushJet technology. This new design, inspired by jet engines, enables purifiers to deliver significantly increased airflow while maintaining quiet operation, a feature first seen in the Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10. The latest additions, the Dyson HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde and the Dyson HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ air purifier, expand on this technology. The Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde, priced at £549.99 and available in October, is a medium-sized purifier designed for larger spaces, offering up to three times more purification power than previous models, along with personal cooling. The Hot Cool Pure+, also £549.99 and launching in December, is Dyson’s most versatile 3-in-1 device, combining air purification with both heating and cooling capabilities, making it suitable for year-round climate and air quality management.
Dyson's strategic product releases demonstrate a commitment to innovation and meeting diverse consumer needs. By enhancing core functionalities and integrating smart technologies, the company aims to provide more efficient and user-friendly solutions for maintaining cleaner homes and healthier indoor environments. These advancements reflect a forward-thinking approach, ensuring that Dyson products continue to set benchmarks in the smart home appliance market.
