Celebrity Emily Atack is making arrangements for her second wedding ceremony with scientist Dr. Alistair Garner in the enchanting village of Mojácar, Spain. Following their intimate civil ceremony in Bedfordshire three weeks ago, the couple is now hosting a grander celebration for up to 200 guests. The preparations are meticulously planned, ensuring a memorable event in the sun-drenched Andalusian setting.

Celebrations Unfold in Historic Spanish Setting

In the vibrant, sun-drenched town of Mojácar, Spain, actress Emily Atack, aged 36, is preparing to exchange vows once again with her beloved, Dr. Alistair Garner, 40. The ceremony, a blessing for the couple, is scheduled to take place on a warm September day in the tranquil courtyard of a historic 16th-century church. With temperatures soaring to 30 degrees Celsius, thoughtful provisions, such as elegant parasols, are being readied for the approximately 50 close friends and family members attending the blessing. Among the notable attendees are Atack’s “Rivals” co-stars, including Alex Hassell, Bella McClean, and Victoria Smurfit.

Following the heartfelt blessing, the celebrations will extend into the evening with a lavish three-course dinner. This gastronomic experience will be held outdoors in the church courtyard, beneath the sprawling, umbrella-like canopy of an ancient Ficus Benjamina tree, which will be adorned with twinkling fairy lights, creating a magical ambiance. A DJ booth has also been set up, promising an evening filled with music and dancing for the expanded guest list of up to 200 people, who have traveled to Mojácar to partake in the festivities.

Just yesterday, Ms. Atack was seen supervising the final touches, showcasing her vintage Diane von Furstenberg floral dress and stylish Prada sunglasses. She was accompanied by her wedding planner, ensuring every detail was perfect. Her parents, musician Keith Atack and actress-comedian Kate Robbins, who have strong ties to the town as Keith owned a property there until 2018, are also present, sharing in their daughter's joy. The couple, who originally met in 1994 when Alistair’s father married Emily’s aunt, have long cherished Mojácar. Emily expressed her deep affection for the location, stating it's 'our favorite place on Earth,' a sentiment rooted in her childhood summers spent there.

A Seamless Blend of Tradition and Personal Touch

This second wedding, imbued with personal significance and a nod to cherished childhood memories, highlights the growing trend of couples opting for multiple celebrations that blend traditional vows with destination events. It reminds us that love stories, much like the changing seasons, can be celebrated in new and beautiful ways, embracing both the familiar and the extraordinary. The commitment to create an intimate yet grand occasion, despite the logistical challenges of a destination wedding, speaks volumes about the couple's dedication to each other and their desire to share their joy with loved ones in a truly special setting.
