The New York Knicks organization is currently experiencing a comprehensive restructuring of its coaching staff. This significant overhaul is being spearheaded by newly appointed head coach Mike Brown, who is actively assembling his team of assistant coaches to align with his strategic vision for the upcoming season.

As part of this ongoing transformation, several individuals who previously held positions on the Knicks' coaching bench will not be returning for the next season. Reports indicate that this group includes long-standing members such as Andy Greer, who had been an integral part of the team since the 2020–21 season, and Dice Yoshimoto, recognized for his contributions to player development over three seasons. Additionally, Daniel Brady and Othella Harrington, who joined the team more recently, are also among those departing. Furthermore, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype revealed that Nick Thibodeau, previously an assistant video coordinator and nephew of former head coach Tom Thibodeau, is also no longer with the franchise, following his uncle's departure that paved the way for Brown's hiring.

Amidst these departures, there has been notable progress in recruiting new talent to the coaching staff. Earlier this month, Mike Brown secured the services of Riccardo Fois, a highly regarded player development coach. Fois brings a wealth of experience, having previously contributed to the Phoenix Suns and Gonzaga University, and his expertise is expected to significantly benefit the team. The Knicks are also actively pursuing further additions, with reports suggesting they have sought permission to engage in discussions with Pablo Prigioni, currently an assistant coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Prigioni, a former NBA guard who had a brief tenure with the Knicks during his playing career, is widely considered a rising star in the coaching fraternity.

As Mike Brown continues to meticulously craft the new coaching infrastructure, further announcements regarding hires and adjustments are anticipated in the coming weeks. These strategic moves underscore Brown's commitment to building a coaching team that can effectively implement his philosophy and guide the New York Knicks towards future success.
