Middleburg Film Festival Unveils Full Lineup and Honorees for 2026 Event

The 14th Middleburg Film Festival has revealed its full schedule, featuring an impressive selection of films and a distinguished list of honorees. Running from October 15-18, the festival aims to continue its tradition of showcasing compelling cinematic works and fostering engaging discussions with filmmakers and audiences. This year's event will conclude with Sian Heder's acclaimed Apple Original Film, "Being Heumann."

Highlighting the festival's diverse programming, "La Bola Negra" by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi is set as the Friday Spotlight, while Tony Gilroy’s "Behemoth!" will be the Sunday Spotlight. As previously announced, Jesse Eisenberg’s film, "The Debut," will open the festival. Attendees can also look forward to special appearances from guests like Billie Jean King and Bill Pullman, further enriching the festival's experience.

A distinguished roster of talent will be celebrated at this year's festival, recognizing their significant impact on the film industry. Martin McDonagh will receive the Director Spotlight Award for “Wild Horse Nine,” and Brad Bird will be honored with the Spotlight Animation Award for Netflix’s “Ray Gunn.” Seth Rogen is set to receive the MFF Artistic Achievement Award, and Rosalind Eleazar will be recognized with the Breakthrough Actor Award for her leading role in A24’s “Misty Green.” Additionally, casting directors Adam Caldwell and Bernard Telsey will be presented with the Special Achievement in Casting Award, acknowledging their vital contributions to film production.
