The San Antonio Spurs have recently strengthened their roster by adding two promising athletes to their training camp lineup. This week, the team secured the services of Micah Potter, a forward/center, and Adam Flagler, a guard, through a series of tactical signings. While the specific terms of these agreements remain undisclosed by the team, industry insights suggest that these are likely non-guaranteed contracts, possibly incorporating Exhibit 9 and Exhibit 10 clauses, which are customary for training camp invitees.

Micah Potter, 27, is recognized for his ability to space the floor with his perimeter shooting. He previously held two-way contracts with the Utah Jazz for three seasons. However, due to his four years of NBA tenure, he is no longer eligible for such agreements. Last season, Potter participated in 38 games for Utah, achieving averages of 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per contest, demonstrating efficiency with a 42.2% field goal percentage, 31.6% from beyond the arc, and 85% from the free-throw line. Complementing Potter's signing, the Spurs also brought in Adam Flagler. Flagler, a 6'3\" shooting guard, gained prominence during his collegiate career at Baylor, where he contributed to the team's NCAA championship victory in 2021. He spent the last two seasons within the Oklahoma City Thunder organization, including a two-way contract that extended into the current season. Despite limited playing time with the Thunder due to the team's deep backcourt, an Exhibit 10 contract with the Spurs offers Flagler a potential bonus if he joins their G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs, for at least 60 days after being waived.

These strategic player acquisitions signify the Spurs' commitment to cultivating talent and enhancing their team's competitive edge. By signing Potter and Flagler, the Spurs have increased their roster to 19 players, nearing the maximum capacity permitted during the offseason. This proactive approach to team building not only provides experienced players with new opportunities but also underscores the dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence inherent in professional sports. The journey of these athletes, from college success or previous NBA experience to battling for a roster spot, exemplifies the spirit of perseverance and the continuous strive for improvement that defines the world of basketball.
