Vikkstar appeared on Paul Brunson's podcast, "We Need To Talk," to discuss the future of The Sidemen, affirming that the remaining six members are committed to continuing their content creation.
The Sidemen, established in 2013, gained immense popularity through their diverse videos, including challenges, skits, and gaming commentaries, amassing over 155 million subscribers collectively. Their commercial success is evident, with the group's estimated worth reaching £50 million by 2024, as reported in The Sunday Times Gaming Rich List. Vikkstar emphasized that despite KSI's departure, the core team remains intact and dedicated to producing engaging content, ensuring a seamless continuation of their work. He acknowledged the unprecedented nature of a member leaving, stating that there was no existing "roadmap" for such an event, highlighting the group's adaptability in the face of change. Furthermore, Vikkstar reflected on his personal sacrifices, including working up to 16 hours daily and forgoing a university education, to contribute to the group's growth.
KSI's decision to leave was driven by a need for personal balance, as he explained in a YouTube video, citing an overwhelming schedule and a desire to prioritize his health, family, and partner.
