JELD-WEN has announced its second-quarter 2026 financial outcomes, revealing a slight dip in net revenue by one percent, yet an impressive eight percent surge in Adjusted EBITDA. This growth is primarily attributed to enhanced operational productivity and stringent cost controls, effectively mitigating the impact of persistent inflation and a subdued market environment. The company continues to prioritize customer service enhancements, debt management, and a strategic evaluation of its European business segment to bolster long-term shareholder value.

During the earnings call held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, key executives including CEO William Christensen, CFO Samantha Stoddard, and VP of Investor Relations James Armstrong, discussed the company's performance and future outlook. Despite an overall soft market, JELD-WEN's proactive measures have yielded positive results, particularly in North America. The company's On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance, a crucial metric for customer satisfaction, saw a temporary dip in July due to Canadian wildfires and freight carrier issues but has since rebounded to target levels. This improved service consistency is credited with helping the company reclaim lost market share and secure new business.

Financially, JELD-WEN reported net revenue of $818 million, a marginal decrease from the previous year. However, Adjusted EBITDA reached $42 million, an 8% increase year-over-year, marking the first such rise in ten quarters. The Adjusted EBITDA margin improved by 50 basis points to 5.2%. In North America, revenue was $529 million, a decline attributed to lower volumes in residential and repair and remodel sectors. Conversely, European revenue increased by 8% to $289 million, driven by improved volume mix, higher pricing, and favorable foreign exchange rates. The company highlighted a $36 million productivity benefit in Q2, which helped offset a $29 million price/cost headwind caused by inflation in freight and materials.

Looking ahead, JELD-WEN has revised its full-year revenue guidance upwards to a range of $3.1 billion to $3.2 billion, reflecting anticipated share recovery and new business opportunities. Adjusted EBITDA guidance also saw an increase, with the lower end now set at $120 million, up from $100 million, targeting a range of $120 million to $150 million. The company expects total productivity benefits of approximately $120 million for the year, an increase from the earlier $110 million goal, driven by SG&A actions and business rightsizing. However, full-year free cash flow guidance has been lowered to a $75 million use of cash due to restructuring and one-time costs, with capital expenditures reduced to $85 million to preserve liquidity. The company also faces an increased full-year price/cost headwind of $50 million, up from $40 million previously projected, indicating ongoing inflationary pressures.

JELD-WEN's VPI multifamily business is experiencing significant year-over-year growth, with robust project pipelines extending into the fourth quarter, particularly in the Eastern U.S. This expansion is a testament to earlier strategic investments in sales growth. Despite the challenges posed by economic conditions, especially in Canada where high single-digit declines are expected, JELD-WEN's management remains committed to disciplined cost management, operational excellence, and strengthening customer relationships. The ongoing strategic review of the European business and efforts to address near-term debt maturities underscore the company's focus on long-term financial health and shareholder value creation.
