Consequently, the much-anticipated Galaxy S26 Edge will not see the light of day, with Samsung opting to streamline its flagship offerings to the familiar Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra models.
The journey of the 'Edge' series began with Samsung's bold attempt to innovate with the Galaxy S25 Edge. This particular model aimed to challenge the market by prioritizing a sleek profile and reduced weight, even at the expense of certain core specifications. The company's ambition was to get ahead of competitors like Apple, who were also rumored to be developing ultra-thin devices. However, despite these efforts, the market response for the Galaxy S25 Edge was less than favorable.
Reports emerging from South Korea, notably from sources like Newspim, indicate that the cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge comes barely five months after the launch of its predecessor.
